In short
How does an SME in Mauritius go digital?
- Map how enquiries, sales, invoicing and operations run today.
- Move customers, pipelines and invoicing into one system.
- Connect your website, so enquiries arrive on their own.
- Automate the repetitive steps, with AI where it earns its place.
- Protect personal data under the Data Protection Act 2017, and train your team.
Signs it is time.
- The same customer details are typed into more than one place.
- Enquiries wait in inboxes and chats until someone notices them.
- Nobody can say at a glance which quotes are open or which invoices are unpaid.
- Month-end means chasing figures across spreadsheets.
Map how you work.
Write down how an enquiry becomes a sale, then an invoice, then a payment: who does what, in which tool, and where things get stuck. The map shows where a system will give back the most time.
Bring it into one place.
Spreadsheets, inboxes and paper each hold part of the picture. With customers, pipelines and invoicing in one place, everyone works from the same picture.
SmartOps by Khay, our platform dedicated to the digital transformation of SMEs, brings them together. We can also work with a system you already use.
If you issue invoices, check what the MRA's e-invoicing rules ask of your business (mra.mu) before you choose a system.
Connect your website.
Your website is often where an enquiry starts. Connected to your system, it sends each one straight to the right place.
SmartOps integrates directly with the websites we build.
Take payments online.
Let your customers pay on your website, with MCB Juice and card payments.
We set up MCB Juice and card payment gateways.
Automate what repeats.
Once the work runs through one system, automate the steps your team repeats: capturing and routing leads, invoicing and follow-ups, with AI assistants where they earn their place.
Protect the data.
Customer records, enquiries and invoices hold personal data, which the Data Protection Act 2017 protects. Keep a record of what you process and who can see it, and be ready to answer the people whose data you hold.
Priva, our compliance workspace built for Mauritius, keeps registers, data subject requests and breach deadlines in one place. Priva is a compliance tool, not legal advice.
What it costs.
Start small: one process done properly is a better first step than a plan for everything. For startups and micro businesses with annual revenue under MUR 1,000,000, our Flow Digital launch pack, at MUR 36,500, includes a nine-page website and a year of invoicing software. Larger projects are scoped and priced in writing, as a fixed scope or a clear monthly plan, and payment can be staged.
Paying for it.
BCP Bank's Digital Transformation Loan, made for SMEs, can pay for a website, an online store, expert services such as consultants or a web marketing agency, software subscriptions and training, with a term of up to five years (bcpbank.mu, October 2026). Ask the bank for its current terms.
The national plan.
Mauritius has a Digital Transformation Blueprint for 2025 to 2029, which aims to make the country digitally advanced, secure and innovative, with programmes for SMEs among its measures (edbmauritius.org).
Train, then improve.
A system only helps if the team uses it. Plan the handover and the training, then review what works after a few weeks.
We hand over with training, and stay to keep it running and improving.
